Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an evidence-based approach to psychotherapy that helps people heal by accessing and healing their protective and wounded inner parts.
The Self
Everyone has a core Self that is calm, curious, and compassionate. It cannot be damaged and knows how to heal.
Protectors
Parts that manage our lives and protect us from pain. They often use strategies like anxiety or perfectionism.
Healing
By unburdening wounded parts and befriending protectors, we restore harmony to our internal system.
A New Way of Seeing Yourself
Instead of seeing yourself as a single, unified personality, IFS helps you see yourself as a dynamic system of parts. This shift allows for deep self-compassion and understanding, even for the parts of yourself you may have disliked or tried to suppress.
